What Nomad charges

The cheaper end of Nomad's catalogue works out at $1.90 a gigabyte. That is well above the $1.34 a gigabyte works out at for the median provider we track. Where Nomad puts you on the internet

Nomad does not publish where its traffic reaches the internet, so we cannot tell you. That is a gap in what the provider states rather than a finding about how it routes — a provider that publishes nothing may well come out locally everywhere. We only report exits a provider declares, plan by plan, and we do not infer the rest.

What sort of provider Nomad is

Nomad sells eSIMs through an iOS and Android app, with local plans for single countries, regional plans such as Europe, and Global-EX plans for frequent flyers that can last up to a year. Add-on plans top up data, and the Nomad Pass subscription supplies a monthly Europe allowance. New users can claim a free trial eSIM, and some plans include a local phone number.

A reach spanning most of the world is common among eSIM providers, so breadth alone says little about fit. Nomad's plans are country-specific rather than regional or global, meaning a trip across borders may call for separate plans instead of one profile. The more useful comparison is destination by destination: Nomad has its deepest catalogue in the United Kingdom, United States of America, Armenia, Cambodia and Canada, while choice may be thinner just across a border.
