Best Alternative to Globie in 2026

For trips crossing borders, the main give-up is plan flexibility: Globie offers regional and global plans, while Nomad sells country-specific plans, so each new country may call for another purchase. Nomad covers nearly all the places Globie does and adds Cuba, though Globie retains some destinations Nomad does not, including Vatican City. Prices vary by destination rather than consistently favouring one provider. Globie states that tethering is supported; Nomad does not say whether it is.

Crossing borders is simpler with Globie’s regional and global plans; Airalo sells country-specific plans, so multi-destination trips can mean buying separate plans. Airalo covers nearly all the places Globie does, but Globie also lists destinations Airalo does not, including the Russian Federation and Sudan. Prices have no consistent winner across shared destinations. Airalo states that voice and SMS are supported, while Globie does not specify them; Globie confirms tethering, whereas Airalo does not say whether it is supported.

Comparable plans tend to cost more with Saily in destinations both providers cover, while Globie sells in many places Saily does not, including Belarus and the Russian Federation. Saily still covers nearly all of Globie’s destinations, so the gap matters mainly for trips to places missing from its list; it also sells a few destinations Globie lacks. Both offer country, regional and global plans, so switching does not change the plan formats available. Globie states that tethering is supported, whereas Saily does not say whether it is.

Some destinations outside Globie’s catalogue, including Iran, are available from UBIGI, which also covers nearly all the places Globie sells; a few, such as Maldives, are absent from UBIGI’s range. Prices do not favour one consistently: UBIGI is cheaper in some shared destinations and dearer in others, so the better-value option varies by itinerary. Globie states that tethering is supported, but UBIGI does not publish whether it is, making its position on this feature less clear.
