Compare eSIMs for Iraq 2026

A familiar brand is unlikely to settle the choice in Iraq: most major travel eSIM providers list the country. Their catalogues differ more usefully in the amount of data, validity period and what happens when the allowance runs out, so the largest catalogue is not automatically the best fit. The underlying networks named by providers are Korek, Asia Cell and Zain, listed in that order of stated reach. The practical decision is therefore about the plan’s size and expiry, alongside the operator access it specifies, rather than simply finding a seller that works in Iraq.

Korek, Asia Cell and Zain are the Iraqi mobile operators named in travel-eSIM provider listings. That means there is a genuine choice of underlying network, but it is usually made by the eSIM company rather than by the traveller at the point of connection. The operator you use is therefore tied to the provider you select and can normally be identified from that provider’s published network information in advance. Two eSIMs sold for Iraq may consequently use different local networks, even though both are intended for use in the same destination.

Yes, but only in the narrow sense of a promotional sample: Iraq has at least one data eSIM listing priced at zero, rather than a free allowance intended to cover a trip. These offers are generally small and tied to signing up, and may be speed-limited or restricted to one per customer. They can be useful for testing access or sending a message on arrival; regular use will normally require a paid plan.

Unlimited options are widely listed for Iraq, but “unlimited” is not a consistent product here. Providers may give full speed for a daily allowance or for an allowance covering the whole validity period, then reduce the connection sharply; streaming can become impractical and maps may load slowly, although messaging usually still works. Before choosing one, check when the fast-data allowance renews, how severe the slowdown is, and whether the restriction applies to the rest of the day or the plan.
