What sort of provider AirPlans is

Aimed partly at Hebrew and Russian speakers, AirPlans keeps support in those languages alongside English. It sells data-only eSIMs, so travellers keep their own number for calls and texts, in country, regional and global plans across 4G, LTE and 5G networks. Most plans can be topped up from the customer's account without reinstalling the eSIM.

Tethering and top-ups are both listed as supported by AirPlans, giving its broad catalogue a practical point of difference: a laptop can share the connection, and a plan can be extended rather than replaced.
